Flat-rate means flat-rate. The price we quote covers delivery, the rental period, pickup, and disposal up to the weight limit for that size. We don’t add a fuel surcharge or an environmental fee at pickup. The only things that change your price afterward are going over the weight limit or keeping the container longer than the rental period — both of which we’ll explain upfront.

Not usually. Size and weight limit matter more than material type, with one exception — concrete, dirt, brick, and other heavy debris fill the weight limit fast in a small footprint, so we’ll often steer you toward a smaller, heavier-duty container for that rather than a big general-debris box. Ask about our concrete and heavy debris option when you call.

Yes — that’s how we book almost every rental. Tell us the type of job and roughly the scope, and we can size and price it accurately over the phone. If it’s an unusual job we might ask a few more questions, but a site visit generally isn’t necessary.

Call us and we’ll swap it for a larger size or send a second container, whichever works better for your site. It happens, especially on renovation jobs where you don’t know exactly how much debris is coming out until demo starts. Sizing up from the start is usually cheaper, but a mid-job swap is a normal request.

Most single-room jobs fit comfortably in a 10 yard or 15 yard. A kitchen remodel or a whole-house project usually pushes into 20 yard or 30 yard territory. Describe the room or project and we can tell you which one fits.

Yes, and it trips people up. A container can hit its weight limit while still looking half-empty if you’re loading concrete, dirt, roofing shingles, or other dense material. For heavy loads we’ll often recommend a smaller box rated for the weight rather than a bigger one you can’t legally fill. For bulky-but-light debris like furniture or yard waste, volume is the limiting factor and you can generally fill the box to the top.

Yes — our sizes page lists every container we rent with dimensions, weight limits, and typical use cases side by side, from the smallest 10 yard up to our largest 40 yard.

No — placing a container on your own driveway or private property generally doesn’t require a permit. A permit could come into play if the dumpster has to sit in the street or on the public right-of-way instead. If your job might need street placement, check with the City of Athens directly before scheduling and give yourself a little lead time, since we can’t confirm a specific fee or timeline on their behalf.

A loaded container is heavy, so we put boards under the wheels and delivery points as standard practice on every drop, not as an extra service. That protects the surface whether it’s asphalt, concrete, or gravel. If your driveway has existing cracks or a slope we should know about, mention it when you book.

It can, and it’s worth mentioning when you book. Limestone County sits on shallow limestone bedrock in a lot of spots, which can mean rockier or less predictable ground than you’d expect in places. We look for level, stable ground before setting a container down. If you’ve noticed unusually rocky or hard-to-dig ground near your delivery spot, point it out to our driver.

Enough to back in and drop the container in a straight line — roughly the width of a standard driveway plus a bit of overhead and side clearance for low branches or fences. Larger sizes like our 30 yard and 40 yard need more room than a 10 or 15 yard. Tell us about your driveway and any obstacles when you book and we’ll plan placement accordingly.

We ask that you keep electronics out of the dumpster. Alabama doesn’t have a blanket landfill ban on TVs or computers, but the state supports recycling infrastructure through ADEM’s waste and recycling programs, so it’s worth using a certified electronics recycler or a local collection event instead of the trash. Ask us and we can point you toward current options.

None of that goes in the dumpster. Paint, solvents, motor oil, pesticides, propane tanks, and similar household hazardous waste need to go through a proper household hazardous waste program rather than a roll-off container — mixing them into general debris creates real safety and disposal problems. Usually not without the refrigerant being properly removed first, per EPA rules on refrigerant handling. Tell us when you book if you’ve got a fridge, freezer, or AC unit in the load — we can advise on the right way to handle it so it doesn’t hold up your pickup.

No — Limestone County Solid Waste’s curbside collection explicitly does not accept bulk items, furniture, appliances, yard waste, limbs, or construction debris. That’s on the property owner to handle separately, which is exactly the gap a roll-off dumpster fills for a lot of our customers.

No. Tell us exactly where on the property you want the container placed when you book, and our driver will set it there whether you’re home or not. Same goes for pickup, as long as the container is accessible and loaded within the weight limit.

Spring severe weather is a real seasonal factor across the Tennessee Valley, and a bad storm can push a delivery or pickup back a day if the roads or your site aren’t safe to access. We’ll call you directly if weather is going to affect your scheduled date. If you’re renting specifically for storm cleanup, mention that when you book so we can prioritize getting you a container as soon as conditions allow.
